2003 Annual Board Meeting Committee Report

This study group is primarily a group of one, its chairman, who fields questions from members on various aspects of luminescent tagging.  Chairman Paquette has published three articles in The U.S. Specialist on stamp tagging types during 2003.  Additional articles are in preparation and research on tagging varieties continues.

2002 Annual Board Meeting Committee Report

This study group is primarily a group of one, its chairman, who fields questions from members on various aspects of luminescent tagging.  Chairman Paquette has published five articles in The U.S. Specialist on stamp tagging types since our last Annual Meeting.  Additional articles are in preparation and research on tagging varieties continues.

Luminescent Study Group (June 2001)

I'm happy to report at this time that Rob Loeffler has joined the USSS Luminescence Study Group.  He has been an avid collector of Luminescent stamps for many years, and brings along a wealth of knowledge.  Rob will be contributing articles to The U.S. Specialist as his time permits.

Rob has been researching Scott 2149 and 2149a, the 18¢ Washington Monument coil stamps, and has uncovered new information about their tagging which he will be reporting on shortly. I'll let him give you the details in his U.S. Specialist article.

I personally have been busy for the past two months working on installing my new computer desk top publishing setup.  Due to a number of unforeseen problems (read crashes), I haven't been able to contribute any articles to The Specialist. I expect to complete my new computer setup and learning process within a month; and I'll then be able to do what I enjoy most which is writing about Luminescent stamps.
