2002 Annual Board Meeting Committee Report
The Vending and Affixing Machine Perforations Committee is happy to
report that this specialty area continues to generate considerable
interest among the members of The United States Stamp Society. During
the last year, six articles and two Letters to the Editor concerning
these stamps were published in The United States Specialist by three
different authors. This high level of activity accurately reflects the
ongoing study of these stamps and the opportunity for new and important
information to be developed. The Specialist has long been recognized as
the primary publication for articles about vending and affixing machine
coils, so authors use it to disseminate their findings and collectors
read it to learn the latest information. Likewise, this Committee
continues to act as the main clearing house and source for information
about these stamps for both established and new collectors.
